Largest Concert Tent yet!
The Guninness Book of Records recorded "Tensile 1" (now "Valhalla") as the largest portable event venue at 10857 square meters of cover.
In November 2006 in Zaragoza, Spain we erected the biggest Kayam Concert Tent yet at 10403 square meters.
We are still short of beating the Valhalla record by 454 square meters. Any takers for this Kayam based structure at 13,175 square meters?

Links around Europe
To play our part in reducing our carbon footprinit (not to mention rising transport costs!) we are making partnership arrangements to operate Kayams from other locations outside the UK.
From the beginning of 2007 partners Innovarte Solutions will have Kayams available in Spain, so we can supply Kayam and Concert Tent structures throughout Spain and Portugal to a tighter schedule and without additional shipping costs. Similar arrangements are in hand with partners in Eastern Europe after a successful visit to Pori Jazz Festival in Finland and a high-profile contract in Poland for Summer 07 under negotiation.

......and in the USA
A Kayam was chosen as the ideal venue for promoters Globo Balea’s 2006 Christmas show in downtown Miami.
This was our first visit with a Kayam to the US and we trust it will lead to more, as tents offering the facilities for stage shows featured in the Kayam are not easily found in the USA.

New Anchor technology
When erecting a Valhalla in Stockholm last year, our tentmaster discovered that the apparently stable site was underlaid by a bed of wet mud, 3m down. Obviously the implications of 10,000 people dancing over such an unstable surface was worrying and an expert from Stockholm University was enlisted to monitor the ground movement during the gig, and ensure everyones safety.
As a result of this, and a few rocky sites we encountered this year, we have worked with specialist ground anchor contractors to develop two new anchor systems which should ensure that we now have the answers for virtually every site.

Valhalla Gets Bigger!
Owing to the continuing popularity of the Valhalla, we have expanded our stock during 2006 and will be training a third tentmaster to operate Valhallas over 2007.
With the largest VALHALLA now at 73m wide and offering 10,400 square meters of cover, things have moved a long way since the first 1600 sq m 4 pole Kayam Mark I went up at Reading Festival in 1993. We thought that was big!
